Stock Movements are easy in Oyster Cloud. We understand Farmers are time poor and very busy people so taking anytime out of there day to fill out a form could get annoying and end up not getting done if the process takes to long. With this in mind we designed our stock movement forms so a farmer can complete them in under ten seconds, we minimized typing and have prefilled data wherever possible.
In this video Matt explains how Oyster Clouds basic stock movements work. Below the video is a simple text and image based guide to putting out and picking up units.
Picking up Units
To find a group of Oysters from a particular Grade or Batch you can use the Find Grades tool or the Find batches tool. Both are very similar, first you select the Grade or Batch which then populates the details section with information about the selected Grade. In the unit list you will see details about each group of oysters belonging to that grade. Click on the “Go To” button to be taken to this group on the lease map.
When the Lease Map loads Oyster Cloud will take you to the selected Units. The units will flash and glow to indicate there position on the map. Click on the first or last unit of the group and the pickup menu will drop down. Select the first option “Pickup”.
If you selected the first unit from the group all you need to do is click on the “Whole group” button and then click on submit to pickup that whole group of units. You can also use the slider below this button to pickup part of that group. If you selected the last unit you will need to select the “Back” option under Movement direction as you are picking up from the back of the group.
Putting Out Units
To put some units out on a lease select the position on the row and click the “Putout” button.
Complete the Movement details portion of the Putout form. Under Movement direction select either “Forward” or “Back” depending on if you are moving froward up the row for example position 1 to 30 or Back down the row from position 30 to 1. You can select “FIll” to fill the entire row or use the slider to select a specific number of units.
Finally Select an Average Oysters per unit prefill option. These prefill options are a selection of numbers most commonly used for this grade. If there are no prefill options for this grade or you need to use a different amount click the text box and type the required value. Oyster Cloud will save this as a prefill value for next time this grade is used. When you are happy with the form click on the submit button and the units will appear on the lease.
